I’m excited to share with you the Tanda Professional skin care system we have here at our office. The Tanda comes with two light heads-a blue and a red. Each treatment cycle lasts 3 minutes. The blue light is for acne prone skin. It helps to kill the bacteria, therefore, current blemishes diminish quicker and it helps to prevent new ones. You can use the blue light up to 12 minutes per day on problem areas. The red light is for fine lines and wrinkles but also helps to promote healing. If you have been picking at blemishes, the red light can help aid in the healing process. The red light is also great for using after a botox, dermal fillers , other facial treatments or even facial surgery. You can place it on the injection sites or where bruising may occur to help accelerate the skin’s natural healing process. Within several weeks of using the red light, fine lines are softer and skin may appear plumper. Stop in today while we still have them in stock!!
*Notice below the dramatic reduction in acne and redness.

We welcome your comments and feedback!

Here are a few more tips on how to keep your skin healthy and happy during the colder months.
• It’s quite alright to spend time outside in the winter, but make sure you protect your face and body from the harsh elements like cold air and wind. Try the Anubis lip conditioner to avoid chapped lips. Using a sunscreen, even in the cold, is very important. Our Kinerase SPF 30 will offer all day protection from the harmful ultraviolet rays. They sun can sometimes be more harmful to us because of the glare caused by the snow.
• For dry and cracked feet and heels, try soaking them in warm water. Once your feet are clean apply a heavy moisturizer and put on cotton socks before bed. Covering your feet with a lotion or cream before socks will help trap the moisture and your feet will soften those rough spots.
• Try a microdermabrasion once a month. This will eliminate dead skin cells and debris from building up on the surface of your skin. Minor resurfacing and moisturizing products will keep your skin healthy during the winter, so it doesn’t have to work so hard during the other months.
• One last tip: Try reducing your use of antibacterial gels and wipes. The alcohol will dry out any moisture your skin does contain. When you must, make sure you use a hand cream immediately after to keep your hands, face, and body properly hydrated.
Taking care of our skin should be something we do all year round, but paying special attention during harsh conditions in even more important. Contact us for more details on how to properly treat your skin, no matter what the season.

For most of us living in Denver, Colorado, winter offers a lot of great outdoor activities: skiing, snowboarding, mountain town shopping, or relaxing by the fire. Unfortunately, the cold winds, low temperatures, and overheating your home can cause more damage than normal, if you’re not prepared. Each of these factors can dehydrate, dry out, and crack the surface of your face and body. I have put together a few tips to keep your skin healthy and moisturized during the long, winter months.
• The answer to keeping your skin healthy in colder temperatures is to maintain hydration. Colder air allows less moisture to our skin and this can cause it to dry and chap easily. Moisturizing twice as much as usual, if not more because of Colorado’s higher altitude, will make up for the lack of hydration. One secret I discovered was the humidifier! If you do not own one please add it to your things-to-buy list. This will help to replace the moisture deficiency in your home.
• Although a hot and steamy shower can be tempting on those extra cold days, don’t give in too often. Hot water will quickly dehydrate your skin because the water evaporates so fast. Try a lukewarm shower instead, and make sure your apply moisturizer within five minutes of drying off to keep the moisture locked in. Skin Essentials @ bodevolve offers great products from Anubis that are great for thicker moisture.
• Instead of using soap for your face or body, try a gentle face and body wash. Soap can dry out your skin, and with the Denver weather conditions we cannot afford to add to the problem. Certain ingredients are more hydrating than others. Try products that contain aloe and glycerin for extra moisture. It would not be a bad idea to have a bottle of Avene Thermal Water handy to spritz on during the extremely dry times, before applying a moisturizer to lock in the moisture allowing for more supple skin.
