Education is going to be the number one way to keep yourself safe from the sun’s harmful rays. Follow these simple steps to healthier skin and a longer lasting life!

ALWAYS apply sun screen and lip balm with at least a 15 SPF for everyday wear, even on cloudy days. On the days that you’re spending more time outside make sure your sunscreen is at least a 30 SPF. Re-apply every few hours so that you are fully protected.

Choose sunglasses that are stylish and protect from UVA and UVB rays

Try to avoid spending long periods of time in direct sun between 10am and 4pm. This is when the sun is at its highest point, making your skin more susceptible to damage.

Bring out your summer wardrobe! Stay out of darker colors as they attract the sun.

Try a hat! Keep your face, neck, and chest covered while in direct view of the sun.
